Johor Buzz: Kiwanis brings Christmas cheer to children's ward

THE month of December is here again and the Yuletide season is seeing more non-governmental organisations and companies holding activities to bring cheer to the underprivileged and less fortunate. The Johor Baru Kiwanis Club recently visited the children's ward at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital, in Johor Baru, to present gifts and goodie bags to some 80 patients. They also gave away bags of food and drinks sponsored by Marrybrown.

As the group, led by the newly-installed president Lim Len Chow walked from ward to ward, a 15-member choir group from the Good Shepherd Church sang Christmas carols and entertained the children.

Lim was accompanied by the club's senior members, including former president Terry Augustine and public relations director Chang Tiam Heng who had joined in to share the season's joy.

The presence of a clown and mascot, added to the party-like atmosphere of the ward. Lim said the activity was an annual affair and the club would continue to visit hospitals every Christmas.
