movies galore

i have been watching a whole lot of shows recently. from just like heaven to harry potter to zathura (only yesterday).

the shows nowadays all boast about effects and machines and more special effects.

i'm looking forward to CS Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. I've been reading the book and it's quite entertaining. knowing that he was good friends with JRR Tolkien makes it all the more exciting. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Trilogy is a mind-boggling mega descriptive book that just goes beyond the average mind.

To know that there are such intense minds who can cough out such stories is beyond my understanding.

CS Lewis is also the writer of many Chritian books which I have tried to read one - Mere Christianity. It's a logical argument of Christianity. It took me very long to understand his argument. Not for those who like to read for pleasure.

harry potter was not too bad. a good try to put in as much information as from the book, but failed. too short excerpts from the book such that the linkage of story is muddled up. If you have not read the book, you would not know what the movie is about.

Dragon Squad, another police and thief story with a good cast but basic storyline. nothing much to shout about there. just some pretty boy faces and good shooting skills.

zathura is a pale version of jumanji. robin williams (my fav actor) makes the whole show come alive. but zathura, well, it's ok for a brainless watch, but nothing much to shout about.

Let's talk about Robin Williams.

My favourite show by him is Patch Adams. My inspiration to be a clown. My mentor to make people laugh. My motivation to be bold.

the honest expression that radiates from his face. the genuine laugh that makes you smile. the warm touch that heals your wounds.

they say that laughter is the best medicine.

I would like to find a chance to go to the pediatric wards and make merry with the kids. But sometimes, you don;t know what is appropriate to do. I don't want to be in a clown face and approach a kid with heart problem or asthma and cause the poor kid to hyper-ventilate. I would feel extremely guilty.

my little baby sister went on a voyage to middle earth. or you could call it MUDDY EARTH. she will be seeking a new master to hone her skills and to learn the art of mind control. Hahahah...

I've already skipped 2 weeks worth of caroling practice. Not sure if i can still catch up and join in their angelic voices with my croaks.
