once upon a time...

I was reminded about conversations in a car almost every evenings. Although the trip included mornings, but usually mornings are spent snoring and waking up upon reaching Hyatt Hotel.

Then it's sitting at McDonalds at 7:30am, waiting for time to pass till 8:30am, before taking the train to work. two stops away.

Conversations at night included all sorts of stories about office, childhood, teenage life, varsity life and anything else that keeps two tired horses awake.

Bankers have a common understanding.

It's like a play. The beauty, the lights, the actors, the prima donna, the magic - all happens on the stage. The chaos, the shouting, the rush, the tears, the madcap dashes, the mess, the mistakes - all happens backstage.

No one sees the choas behind the beautiful front of a branch. No one sees the stacks of paper, the system crash, the hair raising terror of missing accounts (or worse still, $$$), the late nights of trying to pacify a single customer.

No one can fully fathom the numerous lines and boxes and circles drawn for a simple procedure such as withdrawing $10 from the ATM.

The more you think about it, the more it blows your brain out at the intensity and immensity of one bank.

-------- ok... how did i start the topic? ----------------

Oh yah... we're bankers.... two horses... driving back at night....

Life is all about communication.

My favourite N.....! Whom even as a child, we had no qualms bringing any where with us. The one with woe begone big eyes asking ..'wang.ng go where?'. Whose first guitar gospel must have been 'Rejoice in the Lord Always'. Yeah, such chemistry. How are we unlike?

Banker? An accomplished accountant once told me - 'A Banker is one that owns a Bank.' So, banished as Bank Employees forever.. you . n .. me!*wince*
